Why chickens are worth raising.

Carolyn and I have decided over the long cabin fever winter that chickens would be a good addition to the spacefarm. Here are some reasons for why chickens are a good investment for practically any household:

1. Low maintenance to raise
2. Friendly and good companions (varies from breed to breed)
3. Cheap initial investment and cheap to raise
4. Relatively quiet (hens not roosters)
5. Requires little space
6. Inexpensive, healthy eggs (on a daily basis)
